In the newest version of watchOS 11.2, Apple has introduced a very useful feature for Apple Watch and iPhone users.

Now, through the Camera Remote app on Apple Watch, you can not only take photos and videos remotely, but also pause a video being recorded with your iPhone.

How it works:

  • Open the Camera Remote application:
  • From Apple Watch, open the Camera app.
  • Start video recording:
  • Press the record button to start recording the video.

  • Pause and resume:
  • Now, with one tap on Apple Watch, you can pause the recording without stopping it completely.
  • Press again to continue recording from the same point.

Why it is useful:

  • Convenience: No need to stop and start a new video file.
  • Efficiency: Useful for creating continuous paused videos (e.g. tutorials, events).
  • Remote control: great for when the iPhone is mounted on a tripod or in awkward places.

This new feature makes Apple Watch an even more useful tool for content creators or people who want more flexibility when using the iPhone camera.
