There are reports suggesting that Apple plans to sell the strap that goes over the user's head on the Vision Pro separately, rather than including it in the retail package. According to Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman, the strap was created by the company due to complaints from employees who reported that the headset became too heavy after a few hours of use.

This is probably not a surprise to the public, as Apple has indicated that the Vision Pro will cost from 3,499 $ when it is released in 2024. However, it is disappointing that the company knowing that the headset is heavy and tiring for the user, does not provide the strap in the packaging to improve the experience.

Gurman says the company plans to create special areas in its stores where people can try out the advanced device. In addition, he says Apple has developed an iPhone app that its employees will use to scan customers' faces to ensure the headset strap is properly adjusted on their heads before they leave the store.

Since the Vision Pro is not expected to be released at the beginning of next year, there is a possibility that it will be released by May 2024, giving Apple almost a year to change its plans. Meanwhile, Gurman reports that the company has already assigned some employees to work on a more affordable headset and a second-generation Vision Pro.
